Tis the season for holiday houseplants! Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist, and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about the types of plants we typically see around the holidays and how to care for them. Most of these plants prefer bright, indirect light and average soil conditions. Plants like Norfolk Pine, Lemon Cypress, False Holly, Frosty Ferns, and Blue Point Juniper prefer high humidity and can typically handle small amounts of direct sunlight. Orchids, Poinsettias, Amaryllis, Christmas (or Thanksgiving) Cactus, and Peace Lilies prefer bright, indirect light and average soil moisture. As with all houseplants, we recommend waiting to fertilize until spring when they actively begin growing again as the amount of daylight increases.

This video was very helpful. I have collected many of these plants this year and it was good to hear the dos and don'ts. Thanks 😊😊
