I wonder what Elon is doing to assure Tesla will continue to have access to inference chips for new production robots and EVs in future years. Is current manufacturing limited to a small number of fabs on Taiwan? Is there any chip manufacturing for Tesla in Korea? It would be great to see something like a new fab begin to happen in the Americas, maybe with investment and contracts from Tesla.

What range do we estimate the $25k car will have? Too low a range and it may not sell well, too high a range and it eats into X and Y sales.

Tesla stopped production of the least expensive Model 3. That may be due to their realizing that a less expsensive 3-version would take that market. As long as margins are decent for a less expensive "3" Tesla should do really well by selling volume.

$35k - $7.5k fed subsidies = $27.5k. That should very greatly increase Tesla's addressable market.

Hey Brian, is it possible to power the entire US if they were to install Bifacial Solar Panels on every Interstate Highway in the US on both sides of the road. Approximately 70 Interstate Highways in the US which total about 50K miles times Bifacial Solar Panels on both sides of every highway equals about 200, 000 miles of solar. Elon said once that it would take about 10, 000 miles of soar to power the entire US. Is this not the best & cheapest way to increase electrical production given all Interstate Highways are already owned by governments of some level & this would not take up any new land. And most of these highways already have some fences on them & could be easily replaced.

Add to that Mega-Pack Battery Storage along all these highways & a small wind turbine on each fence post & they could collect electrical power 24/7 365 days per yr. Given that these highways run through every state each state could contribute something to the installation of bifacial solar fencing throughout their state & the Federal Gov could match their contribution. This would be the easiest, fastes & cheapest ay to increase electrical production not just in the US but every country on earth. It's easily scalable & really just need to scale the manufacturing process to build a ton of bifcial solar panels.

If Tesla did set up their own Uber-type taxi service I can see benefits. Once FSD is "completed" it's going to take about a year to collect enough data to get the first city to allow driverless operation. During that year a lot of people are going to "passenger around" and get familiar with Tesla FSD. And during that time Tesla will be getting data on the places where FSD might need some tweaks.

Then there will be states and cities that won't permit driverless Teslas for years. But if Tesla puts taxis on the road with drivers doing nothing but looking out the windshield it will become more believable for people in that area to understand that FSD works and it's safe. As they see rates drop in places where there aren't drivers there will be calls to City Hall.

Showing several Optimus robots working in Tesla factories will almost certainly drive up the stock price. It should eliminate the belief that intelligent robots will not be produced, that Tesla can produce them. That's factual stuff which analysts can use to crank projections. Give them the types of jobs then possible and approximate cost/price, from there it's spreadsheet work.

For example. Tesla shows Optimus doing pick and place type jobs where a part is grabbed from a stamping press and loaded on a cart for delivery to another part of the factory. Another Optimus takes parts off the cart and places them where an assembly robot can move them into place and make the welds. Then an analyst can survey a few factories and see how many similar jobs they have which are currently being done by shifts of expensive humans and do math.

Market demonstrated. Price cranks.

Just had a related thought about Optimus robots. If Optimus robots can economically take the place of an agricultural worker or inside a meat packing plant then much of the economic temptation for those industries to use illegal immigrant labor vanishes. This is politically impactful since one party has tied its fate so strongly to illegal immigration.

My opinion the cheaper model has to be manufactured as the same as the robotaxi. Just add the steering wheel and petals. Same production line. People want a cheap ev. Not a x. Plaid, cyber truck. Nor roadster. Americans are poor, produce what they can afford. Nothing fancy, safe simple and affordable. That's the answer. Just my opinion . Hope on 10-10, we will see it come to be. GO TESLA.
