Probably my only complaint on season 2 is those badass vampire warlords, I know they weren’t meant to play any big roles but any back stories on those guys would’ve been cool.

Bruce is missing the point. You're not supposed to side with dracula, you're supposed to empathize. It's like putting down a rabid dog. You feel bad about the situation and you're sad it got to this stage, and it wasn't their fault, but they're now broken and unfixable and they have to go.

End of the final battle in the show I actually cried.

They played bloody tears and had a dragon ball fight in the same episode. Yes it’s the best video game adaption

I think the voice acting was successful because they didn't fall into the hole of trying to appeal to kids with wacky voices, and instead gave them, admittedly dramatised yet adult voices. The voices added to the theme rather than detracting from it for a wider audience appeal that wouldn't match the actual tone of the storyline.

Also, the decision for the final fight to end through an emotional realisation was incredibly well thought out because it will give weight to the up coming fights with the other villains who are weaker than Dracula. Instead of just boosting their strength out of nowhere to fit being the bigger boss and justify the need for the main character/s to develop their strength, we have a concrete plot point that the main characters were so outclassed and only won because Dracula allowed them to, that future fights with the villains can have a natural justification for power progression.

This filmhaus really sold me on watching the series. I've heard at least the show runners actually care about the material they are using. And that's a huge plus in my book.

Castlevania was fantastic especially Dracula’s line when talking to Alucard, as well as Trevor and Sypha relationship. ( Camilla, Isaac, and Hector were also great)

They did with Dracula what most movies (see: superhero films) fail to do: provide the villains with legitimate motivation other than "I'm evil rarr." His only link to humanity, and the last of his hope for it, is destroyed; he's waging war on everything because he has nothing left to (un)live for. You can really empathize.

The episdoe where Alucard and company invaded Dracula's Castle was INCREDIBLE.

I really appreciated Dan’s voiceover on the ad spot. “...I see my own hairline slowly moving backwards and its scares me a bit” is super honest and refreshing. I’m not currently looking at the product line, but as a dude approaching 30 I have thought of receding hair and how it would affect me and it was comforting knowing its not just me worried about it, particularly coming from someone with such a public voice.

The ending really got to me that sudden realization of what he is doing to his own son the last piece of happiness he had left the last living part of his wife essentially, the dialogue and timing of everything was just amazing had to fight some moisture in the old eyeballs there!

I think the GoT vibe in the vampire court could’ve been better, if the other generals had some VA too. Personal opinion, but that can carry a bit of the slow middle part of the season

Forget best video game movie, Castlevania may be one of the best animated movies. The "acting" done with animation and voice actors, was more dimensional than some recent live-action movies. (Have not seen Overlord yet, but am intending to do so.)

6:45 there is a line in the show where the female character refers to blondie as "a teenager in an adults body". He was just aged really fast.

Loved the series but I wasn't a fan of Godbrand. His voice was too much for me.

Also, I'm not sure if misunderstood, but weren't Isaac and Hector both creating the creatures?

In my opinion, tv shows are the best way to adapt video games, compared to movies. Story driven video games, such as Castlevania, the Arkham games, God of War, etc., have hours of story and gameplay to finish, which when condescend down to 2 or 3 hours really chops apart a lot of that experience, whereas a tv series has a much better opportunity to flesh out that game due to being able to spend more time with that world.
