I think that as Christians we are so impressed by the courage of the disciples to blindly and openly follow Christ that we almost forget to factor in that they were only human. Their bravery to stand up for their faith didn’t change the fact that at the end of the day they faced fear, anxiety, intimidation and all of the other feelings that we face as modern day followers of Christ. We may want to follow in their footsteps by telling ourselves that moving forward we are going to openly speak and defend the word or God, but the space that is the difference between our words and the follow through of the disciples is just another example of why we need to lean ON God in order to stand up FOR God.
Does anyone else also see it this way or is it just me?

I was saved at 12 but went as many through many tribulations one of the hardest drug addiction. I remember I used to not pray because I was to ashamed to even speak to GOD. But I was always a believer and a Christian. In the past year I have started turning to GOD more and more. I wake up and do my bible studies with you every morning to start my day. My testimony is VERY similar to yours, I always try to carry that scripture in Colossians of working like you are doing it for the LORD.
Being a Early Childhood Teacher its hard to spread the gospel because its against standards or guidelines in some centers, well long story short I came home too my husband one day and said "I love what I do but I wish that I could do it and tell the children about Jesus". And I ended up finding a Christian School and sent an email stating my interest and was hired that very next day to be a Christian Teacher at an early learning center and in that environment I'm teaching these children scripture and praying with them and with coworkers ! Its amazing !! I get paid better and I'm doing what I love and spreading the Word of God daily and my son gets to go and learn the gospel too !

A few yrs ago, I was single and trying to find a partner through dating sites. I never found any. Through this, I prayed for God to let me find someone who was meant for me. It took a few yrs, but when He was ready He gave me a man who is a Godly man. And he treats me and loves me as no other. I am so thankful that God has BLESSED me with him and he feels the same.
