Should Christians FEAR death? 💀

Cosmic Skeptic seems to think that Christians grieving the loss of loved is inconsistent with the hope they proclaim.

Here's what Dan had to say!

It still hurts to lose a close friend or relative. We still feel emotions.

As someone who is losing my Dad to cancer it pains me greatly because I'll miss him. I know I'll see him again one day which brings so much comfort. But my dad who knows where he's going after is so ready to go. He has no fear about dieing.

In my adult life, I have viewed it in terms of separation. Although the separation is brief compared to the eternal glory our departed loved ones are experiencing, it's a testament of our love, which brings grief in the separation of a measly 30-50 years.

My father just passed, and I truly believe he is now home with the creator....however I still feel sad not having him around us on earth even though I know he is in a better place.

I cry if my son is out of town for an extended amount of time. We cry because we miss them. We can't talk to or see them until we go to heaven. His argument about being upset is ridiculous.

We cry because, even though we are happy they went to Heaven, we will miss them greatly.

Thank you for bringing up the story of Jesus and Lazeras I was thinking of that the second the first video finished

I hadn’t thought of that angle - really interesting. My perspective was simply that Christian grief is because we no longer have the deceased person present with us and we miss them.

I have never felt bad for those who have passed. They are in a better place, at peace. My grief has always been for the friends and family of the person who is no longer with them.

Also, sadly, not all of our loved ones are saved when they pass.😢

If I had a daughter and she married her soul mate who happened to be from another country with no cell service I would mourn the time we spent apart and wish we could be together even though I know she is somewhere happy and safe and I could visit her or have her visit me. How much more will we miss someone’s presence not knowing when we might meet them again!

My Grandparents were a Church minister for 40years, 63 years married passed this year ealy in in his 90's... He always said Honour thy mother and thy father and your days on the earth will be plenty, my mothers been in heaven 15 years now 2008, 15years ago I was not close as I am now to Christ. My mum I sorrowed now my Equally if not more loved Grandparents passed I rejoice with the only fear now purgatory heaven for those awaiting the final times. If you are reading this and do not have such religeous folks... Remember when you are the eldest you have the power of authority of your ancestral line you do represent your line after all, let this be a motive to renew your trust in christ for it was CHRIST renewing and restoring my very soul to find courage from my weaknesses he is THAT powerful, let him and he will heal your heart if you but hold the Lord your King

Jeez what a take. Just because hopefully my mom went to a better place doesn't mean i won't miss her while I'm still here!

I don't cry at funerals because I don't know where my loved one In Christ has gone. I cry because I'll miss them until I see them again.

It doesn't mean losing the ones you love from our earthly lives comes without feelings of loss. Its much, much more comforting to know though, that if they received Jesus, then they are better off. Clearly. Its not an indication of doubt, where we believe they might be in hell. That's just looking for a crack in the Christian beliefe system. We all cry for the same reasons. The difference is that we have God to comfort us, give us hope, and give thanks to for the breath we still have. To be absent of the body means to be present with the Lord. ❤

We cry because we miss our loved ones not because we lack faith. In fact since ive lost my loved ones its only increased my faith and my trust in Jesus. Some people are just dark and want to put their negative outlook's on others and im seriously just over it.

Because you still miss them when they're gone! Even though you're going to see them again one day!!

They're still gone, regardless of where they are, they aren't here with us and it will be a very long time before we see them again. People dont think before they talk and it clearly shows.
