Seven big issues I have with my 2021 Toyota Tacoma. I have owned my Tacoma for around eight months now and I have some complaints with it. I am working on a full long term review on this truck and these issues will be going in to it.
Have you guys seen any similar issues like the ones I mentioned?

I'm so glad I went with the silver sky off road model for my 17' tacoma trdsb, bought it used with only 13, 000 miles few years ago and the only owner before me bought all the tow, premium radio tech packages, hard tri fold oem tonneau cover upgrades, and added, steel steps, led light bar, and raptor lights, and pro style grill, I'm currently 45, 000 miles now all I've done to it so far was replace the tires with 265/75/16 falken wild peaks, added hi rise camper shell, K&N filter, kd maxx pro tune, custom built a bigger cubby for arb single on board comp., sold the steps, just order some cali raised 25° angle rock sliders, and cali raised premium 360° roof rack can't wait to install it as well as in large the other small cubby, and replace that low power 400W inverter with more powerful one. So my 4600 shocks seems to be holding up just fine but will be replacing them later with some 5100's and maybe do 2 1/2" suspension lift and go with some 33" tires. Thanks for the video, but most of your complaints really are pretty much some simple fix to resolve with little more money to fork out gl with your builds happy trails be safe

Nice video man. Thanks for this. I have a 2018 Sport and love it, but then again, I only have 33, 340 miles on it so I don't have many issues so far.

I have a 21 TRD Sport 4x4. Bought it because 99.9% of my driving is in suburbia despite having a heart that’s off the road somewhere. It gets babies and spends its nights, sometimes days on end if I, working remotely in the garage. I wanted a manual trans but at the time I bought mine, the dealership still had a small inventory of Tacomas on the lot. They found me an SR5 double cab in the pipeline, but price-wise, I got a better deal on the Sport they had on the lot - hard to believe that once you could get a few incentives and discounts.

Paint yes i have the same issue. For the clutch i did the accumulator delete to fix the problem its a must do asap before burning out the clutch. Seat spacers help out making feel like a truck

Totally agree with #3. I’ve also driven manual my whole life and this truck has a mind of its own, super smooth or super sluggish. I live in northern Canada and in cold weather it’s even worse. When you take your foot off the clutch it comes out so slow

My 2020 front right shock was leaking too. Thank God it was warranty covered I thing it had like 35k miles at the time .

On my 2021 sport 4x4 double cab I ditched the Hitachi shocks and installed the Eibach pro kit. 2 inch lift and overall just better ride and handling

I am going to pick up a TRD sport 2023 manual transmission in lunar rock in a couple days and hearing the clutch doesn’t come right up is kind of disappointing I will have to see if mine does that. Clutches should be hard to push in and springs right up! Haha

I have white since it doesn’t show as much when you get some backwoods pinstripes. Also in CO I would like a headed windshield on the bottom for the wipers. I tapered in a 19 frontier pro 4x for a 21 TRD off-road both were white the Nissan paint was better as far as rock chips but not much. The engine and trans were old school but way better. The 4.0 and 5 speed auto avg 1 to 2 miles less but a, ot more low torque and no hunting in the trans. Towed better as well. Only reason I traded was because the Nissan had less lift options and most were a lot. I wish I could just get the trans fixed better and then afford a supercharger. I did get it new so for now it’s on a TRD lift with the pro grill they sell I got on a steal for $1k with my discount and a set of bronze TRD pro wheels that cost be $800 for the set. Working in the body shop business I do get some deals. I have 275/70r17 no rub and off roads well. Only rubs the mud guards at stock height also. Good video

My 21 pro has been good. I do some mild off roading. But yes, the paint sucks.

Good points. I have a 2023 Sport and I was also wondering why no grab handle on the drivers side. Drivers seat still doesn't have a pocket. And is there no access cubby on the drivers side bed? love my truck. It's awesome!

My 2023 TRD Sport didn't have the blind spot sensors put in because of the chip crisis. I do have the lane assist .?? I would much rather have the blind spot lights.

It seems that the metallic paint colors hold up better on the tacomas compared to the solid colors. I have MGM and it's not perfect but it's holding up

If you lift your truck you need to get longer shocks relative to the size of your lift.

Everything you said are correct, specially the clutch. You won't get used to this truck.

I've had these same issues with my SR5 2019, 2 of my shocks went out at 35k so I replaced all with 5100 Bilsteins. And it seems like if a leaf falls on my truck it scratches the clear coat.

Oh geez, good thing you purchased those shocks. Not sure if you purchased the truck new or used. If you had purchased new, Toyota should replace the shocks that were blown. The grab handle wasn’t put on for visual purposes while driving from what I heard. Good concerns in this video.
