This worked incredibly well! I looove silver jewelry and just used this method to make all of the rings I have (and have not worn due to tarnish) look brand new. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! :)

Thank you so much! I broke the fine chain for my daughters gift necklace while wrapping for her 19th birthday, without time to return or shop again, I rummaged through my old silver necklaces, finding a much stronger old quality one... but it was so dull, this 5 min hack worked a treat - faster and brighter than a dish soap / soda / vinegar mix and it looks prettier than the shop brought one and now matches the new pendant. So happy!!

Thank you. I've just had a panic. My daughter is going for her wedding dress fitting today. I wanted to give her my mother's ring to be sewn into the dress. It's a surprise. I've had the ring in a box in a drawer since my mother's death 4 years ago. I got it out this morning to transfer it to a special box and was horrified to see how tarnished it was. I've frantically searched for ways to clean it, but all seemed to take too long.
I've used your method and it's looking like new. Incredible, if not miraculous. Thanks again for posting this.

Thanks! Worked like a charm! I dipped a few badly tarnished earrings from the 90’s. I used a little more bicarbonate of soda directly on the metal for a second dip and voila! ❤

Is this safe with stones like emeralds and turquoise?

It works safely on silver and cubic zirconia. However never use it on semi precious stones.

My Pandora charms look nice, but 1 1/2 (1/2 of one charm) of my charms turned blue/black. What can I do to fix them?

I have a large amber stone pendant and around it is silver. The silver is tarnished. Is it safe to do this DIY on my pendant?

Why do we need aluminium foil. Bicarbonate is understandable. This warks like magic. I am surprised..i tried with lemon and bicarbonate but cold water mix did not work at all. Even vinegar didn't 😅work
