How to Make Silver Jewelry or Silverware Shiny Again

Показать описание
Bring your tarnished silverware and jewelry back to life with this DIY silver polish method! Tarnish is caused by a chemical reaction between silver and sulfur-containing substances in the air, resulting in a layer of silver sulfide. This method uses baking soda, aluminum foil, and hot water to create a chemical reaction that transfers the tarnish from the silver onto the aluminum, leaving the silver clean and shiny. Like and share this post to help your friends enjoy their shiny silver too! ⁣⁣⁣

I just tried it, and it works. My tarnished, silver, and gold rings, been sitting in my homemade jewelry box for years. Now I get to wear them. Thank you so much ma'am

It works! Just did it. I washed at the end and washed with dish soap, then dry.

You can add salt to thr mixture as well, which strengthens the chemical reaction

Is this okay for new silver too? Just bought a real silver chain online and they made it confusing.. it says to use a anti-tarnish polishing clothes, then it later says do Not use but use warm water, mild soap with clean cotton or flannel clothes.. thank you

Can you do this with yellow sapphire and lab growns?

Unfortunately this method is temporary, can leave a residue, and doesn't make the silver 'sparkle'.

Did not work well on silver candle sticks.
Not really tarnished either.
Worked slightly.
Nothing brightens like the real cleaner
