Use a ruffler foot for PERFECT pleats, gathers, and easy option to sew a straight piece of fabric while at same time creating pleat or gather. No need to pin! If you have a serger and want to create EZ beautiful ruffle: Stitch length: 4, Differential feed: 2.5, Left and Right needles: 7, and Upper & Lower loopers at 3.
You will LO💘E the results!😊

do you have to do the last few steps with the gathering, or is it able to be omitted?

Very straightforward and easy to follow. You are a great teacher. Thank you so much for sharing.

this is nice, but it doesn't give any guidance on how long to make the fabric vs how long the finished ruffles are... if you want to do and entire skirt ruffled along the bottom you need a really LONG ruffle.

What length did you cut the ruffles? What size is this skirt?

Hi there! I'm sewing satin ruffles and I tried to do a basting stitch with tension at 0 and length at 5, but the stitches were still too tight and I broke the string trying to pull through, do you have any advice? Thanks!!
