Question - How do you prepare your vehicle for winter? 12:51
Blooper 13:43

Keep Up With Traffic Flow
After getting a license, it is recommended to drive with the flow of traffic, which is going to be a bit higher than the posted speed limit.

By keeping up with the flow of traffic you make yourself more predictable.

And on single lane roadways, you're not going to be impeding traffic and potentially being the cause of other drivers passing when it's not safe.

Know Where Ice Forms First

1) Bridges & overpasses freeze first;

2) Areas of the road that lie in shadow;

3) High elevations;

4) Low elevations and low-lying areas

5) Any place where the roadway goes past bodies of water.

#12 Winter Tires do not make you immortal! You can not drive 100 km/h in poor winter conditions just because you have winter tires on your vehicle. Drive according to the conditions, see snow go slow!

Tip number #1 avoid going on the roads after a fresh snowfall, if you don't need to be on the roads.  The road crews will plow and gravel or salt. Go 20 km under the posted speed limit. Always use winter tires for winter. Follow at a safe distance much further then when the roads are good.

No one seems to mention any roadway that is an at slope or angle that has had frozen water on it melt in the mid morning hours. These conditions also create a black ice effect and will cause your tires to slip.

Yesterday I got my heating checked out and fixed on my 1997 Nissan Maxima so that's how I prepared for winter driving this year.

I'll give you a tip ..the best colour of skidoo goggles is amber this makes the contour of the snow the most visible if you wear a red tint you can not see the contour it all looks just flat white ....

If u wants the best winter tire u should buy "Continental VikingContact 7". I have it myself and its the best i ever had on my car. Climbing up or breaking is great. Curves in icy condition is not a problem(its not like summer). Not a problem to drive 60 mph in straight road on black ice. (highway, good wiev and straight) Im norwegian and never crashed on winter for 31 years....Paying extra 200 dollars or 300 dollar for good tires is good life investments. I live a country where if something happends to me, goverment wil pay, but is this the story in usa?
