This is how to get better food shots, from someone who films food for a living, part 3.

1. Shoot next to a window.

The soft, diffused light coming through the window will make any dish look good, I promise.

2. Add a garnish

Top off the dish with some added color or texture. This can be as simple as adding thinly sliced green onions on top, or edible flowers, which is one of our client's signature moves.

3. Use props to style

You can try using a really pretty bowl, or unique utensil, like these really cool soup spoons we picked up at a flea market.
