Switching from Octane to Redshift - Rendering with C4D

Hello everyone,

This is a beginner tutorial, where I am showing you the basics of Redshift. This helps if you are not yet so experienced with RS or if you want to make the switch from Octane.

Hey, Vicent, as always I'm very impressed by your shading and lighting. I'd love to see your approach on it including suggestions on good resources for textures and anything else that you prepare outside of your 3d software or with Substance.

d for solo node? is there a difference?

You can solo nodes in Octane with "d" while in node editor. It's new (prob less than 2 years, so that explains why)

I have a RTX 3080 but my render view is slower than yours, do you have an idea on what could cause that ? I disabled the CPU on the rendering options, and activated the RTX acceleration, but still it's unbearably slow ... But it seems that changing the ' USED GPU %' in the performance options of Redshift helps to remediate that abit. I guess I'll stay with Octane for now if this isn't resolved :S
