The borg use food only when they are assimilating pops, as before the maturation chamber produced food borg players would have a food deficit while they were assimilating pops causing issues. Btw on your ships you'll want to change out the additional bulkhead support for the alcoves in the support utility slots of the secondary hulls. The borg are the only ones, that i've noticed, that no longer have a cap on alloy foundries, also the Local Defense Node building is the best way to add naval cap.

I typically go for assimilation first for the extra unity and research from assimilating pops, I'll grab those 2 perks then pick another tree, I've found as the borg its good to pick several trees without necessarily finishing one off. I usually have 4-5 trees before finishing one off.

Planets would make great places to put power plants and alloy foundries for the Borg.
I'm enjoying the new Borg playthrough 👍

It is unfortunate that the federation play through won't continue, despite all of your efforts. I hope that you'll be able to play this series to a satisfying conclusion.

You seem to know what you're doing at anytime, one can feel that you're encouraged to make your way as the Borg. :)

Although one could watch and listen to your playthrough forever, I do have my doubts as to what extent it can exploit the full potential of entertainment. Following on the statements of one of the devs (Musa) behind the mod, most of it focuses on lore related content - with the texts about the species, technologies, events etc. being a vital key to the whole mod. I cannot help but presuming from my own point of view: Rushing through almost every message and description, clicking away every detail that took some time to be implemented into this mod does not help to fuel the story telling generator of the original game, let alone of this mod, nor does it show more than average appreciation towards the results of modding this game. However, it's not your fault the developers of the original game included an insatiable appetite for mouseover explanations that, additionally, take their time.

You've read out round about three messages about anomalies or events etc. - in an hour. It would significantly help just to offer viewers a fair chance to read it for themselves, not on a perfectionist, purist level in showing everything there is but at least most of what you're doing, deciding yourself. Some viewers don't know the mod yet or this faction, regarding game contents. I can tell you, it's a piece of work to halt or slow down the speed of this video every 20, 30 seconds. One can clearly tell, by your amiable manner and the focus on the game, this mod seems to be floating your boat - I'm convinced it could do so with more people, if you just let them.
