Guess what they said the same in genshin before "free 80 pulls" but guess what that includes all rewards from events, missions etc you actually get jack shit.

The 1.1 release for WuWa to be on july 4th was a really nice strategy for western audience since that's like Murica's independence day. ZZZ dropping on that day and WuWa chipping off a week from the schedule giving up that occasion sucks.
Then Kuro announces the 28th instead for 1.1 then zzz drops their special livestream on the same day.
I was like "Really? are you really that salty?"


At that point I'll play your game to know all what mechanics you have but it will not even gonna reach a whole day. imo zzz is just being carried by the company's name, regardless there's no doubt it will still make money for them.

I'd rather play Aether Gazer and PGR

WW killed what ever fomo Mihoyo had plans for me, I hope it did to a lot of customers too. I stopped spending on Genshin already and it does feel like we have been set free from an abusive relationship XD. Plus if you get to read reports of what Mihoyo investments we have been funding, you'd probably be concerned.

ngl even without the reward Wuthering waves is still a better game. i have at least 4 years of gensin play time. i played it from day 1 but wuthering waves came out and i have played less genshin than ever, since the launch of WW.

like personally i dont really care about free stuff. if the game is bad or not interesting its not worth my time. i played honkai star rail for like 1 month and lost interest in it after that, even with all the pulls and new stuff they add, their turn based is not my cup of tea and its also not exactly open world. i really dont know what to do in the game other than grinding for gear which i dont like. and i think they will be true for ZZZ i dont think i will be played it a lot outside of like the first week, only to claim the free reward. lol

WuWa giving out tons of free stuff every day during release as an apology for them constantly fucking up was not a good thing.
Free stuff is nice but lets not forget that WuWa release was an absolute trainwreck and most of the free stuff we got were an apology.
Lets not pretend Kuro was being generous and just giving us free stuff, they were constantly fucking up and just poured free pulls on us to make us forget and not care.

It will have zero effect on Genshin Impact. Sorry. That audience is captured, especially in China. Hoyo does not care. But I fully welcome the free pull wars. The gacha space is only going to be getting more crowded with high quality games. I played ZZZ in the last beta and wasn't super impressed. Still going to give it another shot at launch, but besides the slick animations, and arguably the music, WuWa has ZZZ beat in every way. Combat is basically just a shittier version of what WuWa offers with less skill expression.
