No wonder why Thunderbird felt mad when she realised that Ruu was sacrificed. This song really tells the story.

Ruu's World Quest deserved to be voiced. It was so good, I couldn't believe how emotional it made me. And the fact that all of it had been told at launch, through the Thundering Fury artifact set, makes me wonder what other stories from weapon and artifact lore will be told through future quests.

Thundering Fury Artifacts lore.

The Thunderbird soared through the thunderstorms, raining down purple thunder and rain. Ancient tribes feared its powers and thanked it for its blessings. Shamans were chosen to offer blood sacrifices to it for protection and forgiveness.

In the seasons when the Thunderbird flew amidst the stormy mountains, a young lad sang without fear. On one gloomy night, it shared a pure friendship with the lad. Attracted to his voice, the prideful Thunderbird landed by his side.

"Curious tunes, tiny human. Afraid not of thunder and storms?”

The young lad paused and answered,

"They said I can bring peace to thunder and storms.”

The Thunderbird cried but kept its silence, for his was an enchanting song.

It was the first and last meeting between the Thunderbird and the young boy.

The ancient tribe held the Thunderbird as its protector. But it rained down thunder upon the tribe. For the next he saw of the boy was when his blood filled the golden goblet on the sacrificial altar.

They made their offerings, waiting for the Thunderbird to reveal the oracles. However, what descended with the Thunderbird was the lightning of destruction.

In the last festival the tribe held, the frenzied Thunderbird blew away the bloodstained altar, the countdown to the tribe's destruction. The Thunderbird showed its true nature, wiping the tribe from the face of the earth.

The Thunderbird decimated the tribe to avenge the one who sang to it. For the transgression against the young lad who sang to it, the sentence was total obliteration.

Unbeknownst the Thunderbird, the lad himself considered his sacrifice as an offering — all for the good of the tribe... for the blessing of the Thunderbird.

I shall sing you another tune, when you come again with thunder and rain.

Driven to madness by the remorse of a promise unkept, the Thunderbird left the mountain in cinders. It was hunted down years after, slain as a monster.

Years passed, the burned land revitalized. The story of the Thunderbird and the young lad had all but perished with the tribe.

The Thunderbird was still a monster that cared not for the worship of mankind. They knew it not, and regarded the unpredictable actions of the Thunderbird as divine revelations.

Yet thunder was its breath, as were the fates of men. From the sky, men were no different from animals... until one day, a song pierced through the roaring thunderstorm.

The song ripped through the clouds, and bestowed upon it, light.

Everytime I listen to this song, I always get reminded of all the other children who died innocently without justice being prevailed. With this thought, I do not only hear Ruu's voice, but also the voice of those children who longs to be remembered and loved.

Imagine if Ruu's story was voiced and this song plays after we finished the last part of it. How many hearts would have broke at that moment. I really wished it was voiced, but even if it wasn't voiced, a lot of people cried. Now Ruu soars the sky with his bestfriend, Kapatcir, following the traveler in their journey. Afterall traveler recieved a gift, a peculiar pinion as a sign that one day they will meet again.

The time we were with Ruu in Tsurumi explained why the Thunderbird got angry and murdered the inhabitants and destroyed Tsurumi and Seirai, then she was killed on top of Seirai by Raiden Ei

But if you read the artifact description for Thundering Fury, there lies extra story, it's really gruesome, what happened to Ruu is devastating to know
