You can physically hack this thing to get the ability to move diagonally in Bosconian. There's a white piece of plastic inside under the joystick that is notched like a plus sign. Take it out, Dremel out the edges of the plus shape to make it basically a square, and that's it. It actually registers diagonals in Bosconian now.

I watched this review while standing in a thrift store deciding whether it was worth $8. You sold me.

I actually found this at a flea market for a dollar, and it worked perfectly. Best score I made that day.

I gave this exact one to my little nephew for his birthday! He plays it a ton. He has since gotten a better Pac-Man-shaped one, but stil plays with this one once in a while

I remember when my father got me this when it was brand new and it seemed like it was the best thing ever. Hard to believe it's 13 years old now...

I recently found one at my local GoodWill for $7, but it currently has an issues with the A/V leads, and I've just not had the time to open it up, and solder them back, so if you get one, and can test it before buying do as such to make sure the leads work, and same can be said for any of the Plug and Play systems of this era. I love collecting these, and they are nice to take on family vacations for family game nights as they are simple enough that even your 70 year old aunt can play them without getting confused.

Oh my god... It's been so long ago since I've seen this thing. This is one of the things that initially introduced me to gaming, ever since I was 4. I even got the second Namco plug and play (the one with Ms. Pac-Man and Poll Position, I think). This is also tailored to my love of classic Namco games. I love this!

I actually got that thing in 2004 and I still have mine because I used to play all the time and hook it up to my big screen TV. And I actually got it during the holidays of 2004 for Hanukkah from my brothers

Fun fact: The joystick works actually 8 way but it is locked to function as 4 way with simple plastic ring inside the unit. Bosconian is actually designed to 8 way stick.

I have a few plug and plays, including this one. It's definately my favorite. Love Bosconian. I used to play it all the time at my fave arcade in the 80's.
