here we come to this Renault Trafic / Vauxhall vivaro after it stalled in 3ft flooded Road.

the entire engine and intake system was full with water and engine cylinders seized or locked up ( Hydrolocked )

he was towed to dry land where we removed the glow plugs to allow the water to be dispersed out of the engine cylinders.

customer was very happy and lucky to see his van restart

Should be on standby at rufford ford, you'd make a fortune day to day! 👌

Very nice video i was looking for a simple explanation, i understand now that to fix hydroloc you have to take the plugs out to give the water a space to eject and don't try to turn it over the engine until you have removed the water from the hoses and taken the plugs otherwise you will bend rods.

Wow such a low intake. My car has an intake basically at the level of the bonnet so reasonably high. Can wade 2-3 feet with no problems.

Reminds me when the Top Gear Toyota Hilux drowned in the river Severn estuary and got it running again

I'm not a mechanic but I wouldn't think that engine will be in the best of health after that.

Could have bent a con rod water is incompressible basic physics 🤔 never try starting after immersion.
