Pokemon Announcements DISAPPOINTING? - The Know Gaming News

It's that time of year again, when everyone starts hyping themselves up for unsubstantiated rumors and then gets mad when the rumors aren't real! Nintendo's Pokemon Direct hit this morning and... things didn't quite go as planned. But at least we've still got SOME Pokemon game coming to Switch... right? Right?!

People need to stop whining about getting their hopes up. Leaks are leaks and they shouldn't be treated as real until it's confirmed.

This is another case of people setting their expectations way too high. The Direct was a whopping 8 minutes long and a week before an E3 that Reggie himself has stated is going to be huge for Nintendo. Will we see Stars? I don't know, but I'm super excited to see what USM is bringing to the table, and am withholding any judgement until I see more than a teaser less than a minute long.

pokemon company has literally never switched to a new console during a generation, idk why people expected that. it was pretty obvious they wouldn't, people just had their hopes too high. if you've payed attention to pokemon company they release them in a pattern, literally any fan would have known it wasn't coming to switch, at least just yet...

It's unlikely we'll see any "brand new" games for the Switch any time soon, UNLESS they were already in development for the Wii U and then put on hold for the release of the Switch. For Game Freak to put a console Nintendo game out in that short a time is ridiculously ambitious and Nintendo are definitely not to blame for peoples ambitious expectations! Good day sir..good day!!

I want another Pokemon Colosseum-like game made for the Switch. It was a fresh take on the series and would be awesome to revisit.

here's the deal, if Pokemon company and Nintendo release a Mainline Pokemon game on the switch, that would ultimately kill the 3DS. Nintendo's not ready to bite the bullet and kill off its own system yet, that's why we're not getting a Mainline Pokemon title on the switch.

Everybody getting so excited off rumors is honestly hilarious. People hype and hype and hype and then get disappointed when their false rumors end up being exactly that, false. It's like you can say anything or see anything, decide it's real, and get disappointed when it isn't. Wow everyone! I heard that there's this new rumor that every country in the world is going to combine into one mega (joke not intended) country under one ruler! Wow!

What gets me, is that gamefreak said a few months ago that they will not be putting a main series game on the switch right now, so we knew it was coming only to the 3ds. we just tell into all the switch rumors. maybe one day, in about 3years.

why is everyone so delusional. THIS IS THE THIRD VERSION. Just like how bw2 was the third version. Why would they release a game from the same gen on a brand new console. Ask yourself this question. Was bw2 on the 3ds? Was emerald on the DS? The answer is no. Now stfu and be patient. Pokemon on the switch is coming most likely gen 8 which will be next year

Please, everyone. Use your heads. SuMo just came out 7 Months ago, and they do not split up gens among Consoles. This should have been your biggest Red Flag that Stars wasn't coming (yet). The 3DS is where pokemon will be for now on the main games.

Don't convince yourselfs of something that is not confirmed by a legitimate source that WORKS ON THE PROJECT.

Did none of you learn from Pokemon Z "rumors?"
