Bunratty Boys, can't thank you enough for all the adventures that you both have shared with us this summer!! Only fitting that this final project trial run has a bit of an undoing! Extend the story & keep the mystery going another day longer!! (I must admit, I am a wee bit curious how a wood worker managed to forget to bring his toolbox to work... I bought that plane too, filed the mouth wider and used a bench grinder to heavily camber the iron, and it actually is a damn good scrub plane! I probably hogged through a 4x10 foot square of laminated hemlock down almost half an inch and it only needed sharpening up onece.
