4 methods to make your own Gore-naments for the holidays 😜🫀🌲

Making Gore-naments using 4 different methods!

1. I go into more detail in the previous gore-nament video!

2. after coloring liquid latex with food coloring, spread it out on a plastic sheet and let it dry. A hair dryer will greatly speed up this process but do not use a heat gun or you will probably burn the latex. once it's fully dry you can use it like a sticker and stick it over top of a ball, sticking it to itself to help cement in full shape and then holding everything in place with the bauble topper!

3. with all of the little drops and bits and pieces of latex that stuck to themselves too quickly, you can just stick those inside of an empty clear ornament for a super icky effect.

4. You can also either dip a ball in liquid latex or paint itt directly on the plastic, but this is my least favorite method because it takes a long time to dry and comes out with less personality than the other options

If you are interested in making a specific organ, I have a few videos on making a brain and a heart using liquid latex and an appropriately shaped Jello mold and expanding fold. If you want them to be ornaments, stick a topper on top and there you go lol

If you are interested in specific organs (specifically a heart and a brain)i have a few videos on making those as well, but spoiler, it involves painting the inside of an appropriately shaped mold with colored liquid latex and then filling it with expanding flex foam or batting and then closing that up 😁🫀🌲 (and then threading string through it or poking a topper in)

I’m very interested in knowing how you got into art like this. When I was younger I used to be (and still kind of am) fascinated with sfx makeup and creating fake wounds. As I’ve grown older my interest in unconventional art has shifted more towards the macabre as represented in paintings or sculptures.

The problem I’m gonna have is with cat hair and fuzz sticking to it since it’s on the outside. My brother in law wants a horror themed tree and they have 6 cats. I wonder if there’s a coating that dries hard like clear nail polish or something I could put over the latex.
