This video shows how you can make as many blackberry plants from softwood cuttings add you want. The initial view are 50-60 blackberry plants I created from cuttings.

This video shows a simple way to make new blackberry plants.

Start usually 6 weeks after new growth. The plant has to be a little firm. Make cuttings about 6-9" in length, cutting above or below the crotch of the plant.

Place in perlite that wicks water from the bottom. It should root in a few weeks!

I have prime ark freedom, Arapaho and triple crown and propagate all the same way, I just cut new spring growth and stick them in an old wood chip pile and they always live and grow into new plants

I wish you would have shown the watering. How often are you watering ? Do you keep them in the sun always ? What do you do if it rains? How big do the roots need to be before transplanting?

Do you add fertilizer to the water in the pertilite?

I don’t understand why you cut the top of the second stem

I just bought a dwarf thornless blackberry (superlicious) that was orphaned at the nursery over winter. If it succeeds, how would you propagate like you do, but on a much smaller scale? Zone 6b, Santa Fe NM.

Wow your raspberry plants look so well taken care of, and also I noticed they lack thorns. Mine is so full of thorns it's impossible to manipulate it without hurting yourself.

An old greenhouse secret is using sand to propagate plants. It works! Keep the sand very wet!

Could I use vermiculite instead? Thanks, Kristy again in Missouri 😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

everything I have learned that when you are rooting you need to leave a few leaves on top. the leaves are where the plant gets what it needs to root.
