Tutorial 1: Matlab and Arduino with GUI Interface. Simple LED Controller.

Показать описание
This is my first tutorial, I explain the basics of how to install the Matlab interface onto the Arduino, and some basic hardware interfacing. I also show how to make a very basic GUI using GUIDE within Matlab. I am by NO means a pro at Matlab, I am basically teaching myself how to use it, and am still a novice myself.

great tutorial. Now I can control my Microchip MCU dsPIC33 using GUI. The key is to set the serial port as a global variable, as the tutorial did.

Thanks!

before the gui it is needed to on matlab: file-->set path; add with subfolders; and then select the downloaded folder. at least this stopped dropping error after typing a=arduino('COM3');

By the way, awesome vid! Learned so much! But I am running into trouble: for one of my pushbuttons, I want it to blink the led at some frequency. So I put it into a while(1) loop, which never ends. How can I alter the argument of the while() command, so that it exits the loop when any other button is pressed. Thanks!

Thanks for this tutorial.I'm currently working on matlabarduino communication. However, there is a problem I encountered using the gizDuino MiniUSB. When connecting it to my computer (windows7), it doesn't appear conncted in any COM ports of d computr. Device Manager shows it is connectd as libusb-win32 devices.Therefore, executing a=arduino('COM4'), COM4 is the port where my arduino is connected as seen by arduino gui], Matlab returns "Open failed: Port: COM4 is not available. No available ports"

Undefined function 'pinMode' for input arguments of type 'double'.

Error in (line 63)
a= pinMode (4, 'output');
How to solve it? please.

Did anyone else notice that visDIJ used waste in the wrong context. Anyways, Pobonobo was showing an example that came from Matlab. He is taking his time to show people for FREE how this stuff works and interfacing with it and your here bitching about it. That is why it is called engineering, figure it out. Plus, the software was working for him and everyone else, so you can't blame the software, you can only blame yourself.
