I think the stabilisation is better on the old Osmo. Picture Quality looks overall better on Pocket, but sometimes too artificial. But Low Light Performance and features are better on Pocket. I would definitely go for the Pocket. Overall quality is at least similar and it is much smaller. And for me it is great to have build in Display. The Smartphone Setup always takes somes time and is not very handy. I have the Osmo+ and like it much, but Pocket literally seems the perfect always in pocket gimball for holiday or small trips.

This video is critical to ANYONE who’s thinking about buying the pocket. I want stable footage, with a small payload, without sacrificing my phone or using it’s front facing cam. Definitely going to save a buck or two and go for the original

I have both, actually all of them ( osmo, osmo+, osmo pro, and pocket) The pocket with an attached cell phone is golden. I use the older osmos kinda like gopros (car, boom, action footage) which is really useful. I use wireless Rode go mics with the older Osmo+, to do my youtube videos. Great review. Don't buy the osmo pro.

Thanks for the review of both cameras. Always wanted to get the old Osmo but the new pocket Osmo rocks just as much with a quarter of the size.

Osmo pocket is a wonderful consumer based fun gadget great for vloggers n family trips ... but osmo and osmo + one can do some, if not most, professional work with D log in it and a steadier hand grip with the plus there is zoom option and i have filmed about 20 music videos with just that osmo+

2ndly the osmo pocket is lookin a bit too contrasty
