In the original show, Bloom's backstory makes more sense. She is adopted and her Dad is a firefighter who rescued her from a burning house. They assumed she was left orphaned from the fire so the firefighter adopted her.

The main problem is branding this as a Winx Show, if it wasn't branded that, at least we wouldn't have to put up with the changes to the cartoon we loved

Hate that this series decided that two females can’t be friends and HAVE to fight about a man when in the show each girl supported one another and didn’t have ridiculous boy problems

The funniest thing for me was how Stella and Sky's relationship was called codependent and toxic multiple times without showing us actual evidence of that but Sky and Bloom's relationship was portrayed as this 'epic romance" when its not just toxic but abusive too.

The moment from winx cartoon I remembered for life:
When Stella got "ugly" and was worried her boyfriend would stop loving her. Then, someone puts a spell on him making him only see her inner beauty and personality instead of her physical appearance, but Stella is still worried. It turns out he still likes her because her personality is beautiful. I was like 10 and that was deep bruh

Remember when Alfea was a school for Fairies and not a generic Boarding School?
Remember when Sky had long hair?
Remember Tecna?

Btw for those wondering the reason techa isn't here is because she was smart enough to stay away

They had the whole Winx series to guide them and yet they ruined it. Oh and rip diversity, remember when Musa was Asian and Flora was latina.

When Bloom said to Sky about ‘Mansplaining’ I had to pause the show and literally cringe out of embarrassment💀 like sis he’s literally trying to help you out cause you’re lost on your first day of school

"The fans don't like it, people didn't like it. So basically it's just a Netflix adaptation-"

I laughed so much when Bloom said he was "mansplaining" her when he literally just gave her directions, like chiiiill

remember how colourful the original Winx series was and in the Netflix version they made them look like grandmas?

I don’t hate it I just wish they hadn’t branded it as winx cause it’s impossible for them to live up to such elite standards

I- does anyone remember that bloom actually had a great relationship with her parents like she wanted her parents to come with her in the original show 🤦🏼‍♀️

Cartoon Winx: purple boarding school, bright sunny days, colourful saturated palette
Live action Winx: brown school, dull palette, might as well be Hogwarts

I'm just so tired of media making angsty teen shows. Just because a lot of us are struggling mentally doesn't mean we don't want happy, fashionable shows with HEALTHY relationships.

Also the treatment of Stella- Honey no.

the random use of words like feminism and “mansplaining” in this series annoyed me so fkin much lmao

original stella: supportive, friendly, outgoing and super fashionable
fate stella: bitchy popular girl (they literally turned her into disaspro)

I don’t know if anyone has said this, but my main problem with this show is Bloom. I can’t stand her. She is presented as a supposedly feminist character addressing mansplaining or whatever, but she also puts down other women referring to them as basic bitches and other pejorative terms. That’s not feminism. Also, the ways she treats Aisha and the others. She acts like the center of the world and only thinks of herself. She literally puts her desire for truth above EVERYONE’s lives and doesn’t even acknowledge that. Also, the way they treat Aisha as if she did something wrong, she was the only one with common sense, and the only one that knew Bloom was acting selfish and confronted her. And Bloom ends up being the hero, she didn’t deserve it.

Sorry for the rant, but I despise her character.

Getting kind of tired of the main character trope that consists of an introverted girl who hates being social, hates dressing up and would rather die than go to a party. Where's the main character who LOVES parties, being chaotic and dressing in cute little outfits? They're always delegated to being the introverted main character's best friend or worst enemy/high school bully.
