They were bright, fashion forward dressing, rich in diversity fairies.... now they are basically a side cast story of Sabrina with worse fashion and less diversity.

The thing is if they didn’t try to claim it as “Winx” it would have been fine.

They literally just gave Stella a sparkly headband and they think we would be OKAY with just that. NO HUNNY.

This is really disappointing. The fashion is literally the type of fashion stella would have nightmares about. Musa was supposed to be asian and flora was supposed to be latina, but we don't even got flora we got her cousin terra. And the way they messed it up making it dark and stuff like no. They made stella and bloom fight over sky??? Bloom and Stella were bestfriends and Stella was a great friend, they did her dirty seeing that brandon wasn't in it. Don't even get me started on Techna.

I wanna cry. And NOT out of joy. They did my girls dirty.

Edit: I'm just putting here what I also responded to a comment below on this thread, bc I feel like I wanna express everything I feel for this on my original comment. So, here goes:

I wasn't negative towards a reboot, provided that the very soul of the cartoon be captured in it. I was excited when I heard of it, even.

Only when I watched this I was like "Well, we're screwed". Where is the playful attitude, the fashion, the glitter, the transformations, the MAGIC?? This just looks sad, they completely erased the identity of the cartoon, everything that made it special. NOT to mention the whitewashing and the erasure of characters (Musa, Tecna, Flora).

Winx Club was a huge part of my childhood and I'm not ready to see it be destroyed. No, I don't want another pseydo-edgy dark academia series, I want to feel the enchantment and the colors and the beauty and the innocence I felt as a child when watching the cartoon.

At least I'm glad we all agree on this, no one likes it, so it will either flop or the creators will take us under consideration and fix it in a later season, if it ever even happens.

The darkest color in the cartoon is brighter than the brightest color in this trailer.

Bloom mainly wearing red is bothering me. Despite her power's color being red ( fire ofc ) she always wore blue.

it’s actually a decent show, the real problem is putting the winx brand on it, they can keep the plot, change the character names and boom totally different show that doesn’t have to live up to its superior predecessor

“They deserve to know who I am”
Bruh, Bloom didn’t know who she was until season three...

the original point of winx club was to have these hyper feminine fashion girls being bad ass and fighting evil

Im mad they got rid of Tecna she literally is an inspiration for young girls who want show that they’re smart and can be good with technology. She also likes video games which is a lot of times seen as a “boy thing”. Not to mention that her character adds more dynamic to the group, and her character development is so good in the original series.

I'm sad!
In my childhood I felt represented in this drawing that I love today. It was a mixed design in which everyone was represented and respected, Latin, black, brown, Asian

I would have never guessed it was supposed to be winx if it wasn't written in the title. This looks nothing like the otiginal

Netflix really had a chance to take advantage of the upcoming y2k fashion trends but noooo they wanted riverdale on crack with bad casting

Why does bloom look like she’s forced to go to Alfea even tho in the cartoon that’s the highlight of bloom’s life

I won’t be surprised if Netflix decides to make a YA show of killer my little ponies

Stella would have never let them wear such terrible outfits.

The whole aesthetic of winx- the glizy girly essence of the show, was literally there to teach young girls that their femininity did not determine their strength. Wtf is this? This adaptation took away one of the most crucial aspects of the entire show. Y'all even white washed some of the characters and just took the others out i-

“Dark and gritty” doesn’t go good with a show that’s iconic for its hair, fashion, and colors or has a fan base entirely made out of girls/people who love all of that. Also why do we need a “mature” remake of this show when literally Winx Club deals with death, grief, climate change and toxic relationships while STILL being a hip magical girl show??? This is a hate crime.

I was imagine like:
A mix of Cosmic Girls' "Save me save you" and "Dreams come true" MVs
Reality:
Classic netflix series style
