Very informative and interesting. Mr. Shekhovtsov mentioned that he would not include Russia in the category of nationalist countries on the criterion that Putin's administration does not apparently like the Russian people as evidenced by Putin's treatment of many Russians. Okay, but is that really the defining criterion of nationalism? Putin may very well hold most of humanity in contempt, including his fellow Russians, but does he employ nationalist rhetoric to whip up support? Do the nationalists in Russia support Putin? Did Hitler and Mussolini really "like" their own people? It seems to me that while they used nationalist rhetoric, the people were just a means to an end by these nationalist leaders as they often are.

I wonder: Is Dugin still not influential in the Kremlin, or has anything changed there?
