Welcome to Sensible Secondhand Reviews, the series where we usually take a sensible secondhand car worth between £1000 and £5000 and put it through its paces in a very straightforward manner! This time, however, we test a 2015 Renault Captur Mark I 1.2 TCe Signature Automatic, things seem to take a rather familiar turn, as we wonder about bungee cords on the rear seats, try to slide the rear bench back and forward, get scared about a keycard and really discuss very little of any consequence at all. Nothing untoward, then!

A great honest review on another Capteur Sir, really does suit the red and I like the red touches in the interior as well.

8 years old and still looking modern and very tidy bodywork. Engine seems flexible. Interior is lovely. Very roomy and practical. I do prefer a temperature guage but I have owned three or four cars without one and it has not been a problem.
Used car prices are unbelievable. My Colleague bought a Dacia Sandero 0.9 Tce Stepway Laureate 5 years ago for about £10, 500. At the time the cheapest Dacia available was £6, 000. The cheapest Dacia now is £14, 000 and my Friend reckons his 5 year old car is probably worth now not much less than he paid for it.

Thanks for this video! This car looks more ready for rough ground than a Tivoli. Reminds me of a Juke.

Another useful review thank you. I think I'll go for one of these or at least get a test drive, I like automatic transmissions, ( just my personal taste ) I have a feeling this might be better than the Mokka X.

I agree with you Mr Lloyd. I have driven the Capture a few times, as hired cars in connection with work. They are fine for one person carrying a work bag and personal effects. Probably not suitable for more than two people and not really a long distance car if you are fairly large, like you and me.

Good Morning Sir, they are certainly a good option as a commuter car for work or the school taxi. As a first choice family car for longer journeys as already stated there are better cars available.

R/O = Radio, not that you would be able to play it on show?

They really have persisted with the card, haven't they? Your vehicle services must have their work cut out with locked Renault callouts.
