Few People Make it to Heaven - Tim Conway

Tim Conway preaches a sermon on Matthew 7 and on the narrow way which leads to life that few people find. This was at the 2010 Youth Camp in San Antonio, Texas. The truths in Matthew 7 and Luke 13:24 are shocking to most modern-day Christians and are unheard of to be preached, but they still stand as true and man must examine himself by such truths.

Id ask Him if my faith in Him is genuine and if He would give me genuine faith if i didnt have it so i could know the joy of loving Him fully in Spirit and in Truth.

I wish I could tell you the stories I've heard of; stories in which Muslims and others who had never heard the Gospel cried out to a God they did not know because they were hungry for truth and morality and God caused miracles to happen to bring the truth of the Gospel to these non Christians. Jesus even appeared himself saying, "You seek the truth, you are seeking me." and then giving them directions on how to find more truth.

@CMONE021187 If someone truly comes to Christ they will in no way be cast out... but the point is there are many who are saying Lord Lord and believe they have come to Christ that are living lawless lives and prove to be children of the devil and not of God.

I know I am born again finally not because of a prayer but because I was being called to search the scripture I remembered faith comes be hearing the very word of God and one day this month I heard a sermon die to self I believed that and have a different relationship to sin already I am so joyous because my sin make some of you look pretty and my ten your old hears the sane message and says yes sir God if that's what you want and immediately wants a bible

@jesse3398 He preached correctly and perfectly. He was only trying to give the audience a wake-up call. Jesus said Himself that even fathers will be against their children and children against their fathers. It is a terrible thing to say if you don't have the understanding. Christians today, specially in North America, are asleep... complacent; this is very dangerous. The youth especially being corrupted by the world. Keep up the good work Tim. I pray your faith will be preserved till the end.

@Jeebe3 You're right for the most part. There are a few questions that you shouldn't ask: blaming and disrespectful questions. But almost any question, God would love to hear from us. God will even allow a frustrated, "Why?" as long as in our frustration we're still respectful.

How many people cry, "Lord, Lord" only so they can look good in the eyes of men? How many people make a big show of what great Christians they are, speaking Christianese, and giving lip service to God but their hearts are far from God? How many people have even acquired the power of God to perform great miracles and cast out demons but then they use this power for selfish gain with no true loyalty to God or his people? You shall know the true Christians by their selfless love for God and others.

THE NARROW WAY IS BELIEF ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST! ❤️

We are all sinners. Sin is breaking God’s moral law. Even one lie is enough for us to deserve everlasting fire from God (because He is holy). But the good news is that He loved you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for you, so that you can go to Heaven when you die. Jesus died for all of your sins, was buried, and rose again (He’s alive!) on the third day. All you have to do is believe! ❤️

To be saved, believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ (who is God in the flesh, the Son of God) on the cross, in His shed blood, in Him taking the wrath of God poured out on Him for you while He was on the cross, in His death, burial, and resurrection to pay for all of your sins and to give you everlasting life (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Hebrews 9:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 3:16, John 6:47). You cannot work/obey your way to Heaven — salvation is the free gift of God (Romans 3:20, Ephesians 2:8-9). Once saved, always saved (Ephesians 1:13). ❤️

Matthew 7:21-23 is talking to those who trust in their own works to get them to Heaven, and trusts that because they do A, B, C that it merits them righteousness. John 6:38-40 says whoever believes in the son will be raised on the last day (paraphrasing), that is what merits you righteousness. You can’t make yourself be a better Christian, it is a divine and supernatural work of God through sanctification. There will be many who say “Lord Lord”, but they will be the ones who trusted that they walked “obedient enough” instead of just trusting Jesus. Self examination is important and should be encouraged, but I think this kind of teaching can sometimes bring people to conclusions that even though they believe, it’s not enough. And that’s just not the case. It’s by grace through faith in Jesus, that’s it!

You may struggle hard to get to heaven and not get there and miss out on the pleasures of both heaven and the world

If I could ask Him a question: can I have a list of people I can actually lead into your kingdom? (I like being efficient, and finding sheep is usually low odds)

The goodness of God leads to repentance. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Be willing to die before worshiping false gods. The believer must have a testimony. Good works (done in secret) are for storing individual treasure in heaven (bonus) because of God's Grace.

Watching this video again, I focused on stuff like “You will be the only one to blame” “You’ve committed spiritual suicide”. If anyone chooses to reject jesus, it’s very understandable to me, I can relate because I’m in the same boat. They reject jesus for the same reasons I reject jesus and I’ll tell you why, the main issue here, the way to salvation is just too hard, too hard! The path is narrow, that’s the problem! I really wanna have a discussion with that pastor

Repentance is not sorrow and does not require sorrow. Although repentance is frequently accompanied by sorrow, many who are sorry are only sorry that they got caught or sorry that they are facing consequences. Like a thief that doesn't want to go to prison but wants to continue stealing is the Christian who wants to go to Heaven but does not praise Jesus with all his heart. The Christian thief may cry, "Lord, Lord" in great sorrow and desperation but will not enter the Kingdom of God.

Sincerely asking, does walking in the narrow path and following Jesus means being poor like His disciples, and their main activity is spread the gospel all day all time?

And how do you know that God is pleased with you when you cannot see Him?

Any answer will be much appreciated🙏🏻 I am 20 jumping around from catholic, SDA, charismatic, until i found Paul Washer and Tim Conway and realized theyre speaking the truth. But i still dont understand some things. May God have mercy with us all🤍
