Add & Simplify Algebraic Expressions in Math - [7-3-5]

In this lesson, you will learn how to add and subtract algebraic expressions. In order to do this, we need to identify like terms in the expressions. Like terms are algebraic terms with the same variables (and exponents on those variables). Once we know the like terms, we can add (or subtract) the coefficients of those terms in order to add or subtract those expressions.

This does help clear up a couple things, thank you. I'm having a little trouble understanding neg. fractions, Can you have a neg. numerator and a neg. denominator = a positive number?
