I’m still thinking about what’s possible with those alternative screens… green screen on one, scene on the other? different sponsors per view at a game? SUCH dope tech. and so much fun to shoot!

I loved the detailed dive into that screen, the alternating shooting with 120hz is so cool

My goodness, the intro and walking off the stool while the set comes into frame and the FX/background loses the opacity, it's just so cool it brings a smile on my face. Love it! lol

This by far is the craziest and dope DopeTech episode so far!!!!

That "alternating frame" technique the Virtual Production Stage uses is absolutely insane, never ceases to amaze me the workarounds that engineers can figure out!

The Virtual Studio reminds me of the tech they use in Mission Impossible to fool the gaurd, where his eye is the camera, and the projection adjust to it's position.

When I heard that the screen could display two things at the same time, I thought it using the types of pixels that can display different colours based on what angle you were looking at them and the screen was tracking the different cameras to know what angle they were looking at it. But that fps stuff is even more impressive.

That alternating fractional 120hz shots is genius engineering. Huge props

MKBHD choosing a title:
❌ Massive screen that allows 6 cameras to record different virtual backgrounds
❌ Bed that automatically changes temperature to help you sleep better
✅ Phone with some LEDs on the back

i have watched YEARS of MKBHD content. literally haven’t missed a single upload for six years straight. i have so many favorite intros and shots and whatnot from here and there. but THIS was the BEST MKBHD intro yet. this is what i’m here for. “create what you would wanna watch”

Although he might not realize it but at 15:17, MKBHD just jumped in with his version in the ongoing Zomato vs Zomato debate 😂😂😂😂

The lighting on your face in the first studio bit and on the Nothing2 segment was AMAZING. A gigantic step forward.

The alternating frame technology has actually been around for a few years. Many 3d tvs implemented this. They are very rare nowadays but we still have one. It has 100hz, displays two slightly different images at 50hz each with alternating frames, and the 3d glasses are synced to it to show one image to one eye and the other image to the other eye. Your brain then turns that into a 3d image. The tech behind this is really fascinating.

So good seeing XR stages being talked about, my universities production program just got one installed a few semesters ago and I'm diving into it for my next one, no more hours of editing green spill my prayers have been answered!

I am an unreal Engine artist and ive been wanting to get into Virtual Production, seeing with that they can altranate franes is a game changer. I visited a VP studio and i asked if they could use two cameras and they said that the tech wasn't quite there yat but they were experimenting with altranating frams! Happy to see that its an actual reality now!

The reason why I always come back to watching your videos even thought I'm not as techy and in the know as I used to be, is because of your enthusiasm and excitement over these new technologies. I find myself matching your energy when you start to talk about the crazy implications of what could be possible and I think that's why I feel you're the best tech reviewer, PERIOD. Love your videos man, been watching since I was in middleschool.
