So Nothing OS 2.0 is here on the Nothing Phone 2 (and soon the original phone), offering many updates including some fresh Glyph Lighting features. This tips and tricks guide shows off some of the best new bits in Nothing OS 2.0, including improvements to the widgets, folders, lock screen and more. When you setup your Nothing Phone 2, here's the first 10 features you need to check out!

Have a watch of my unboxing of this fresh 2023 smartphone right now - full review and comparison vs the first handset are coming Thursday!

One of the major updates to Nothing OS 2.0 is the Glyph functionality. That disco arse can now be customised, to manually tweak the brightness - while you now have added features like the Glyph timer. However, it's the Composer tool that's bound to get the most attention. With this you can compose your own Nothing Phone 2 notification alerts and ringtones.

Nothing OS 2.0 once again allows you to personalise those desktops, now with a distinctive monochrome design. You can choose from Nothing's own wallpapers or add your own, while you now have improved widget and folder functionality. And the Nothing Phone 2 lock screen is also more customisable than the original - until that too gets OS version 2.

This was the 5th video I've watched as I wait for my NP2 to arrive, but it was the first to have the info I wanted. Thank you!

Finally being sold in Canada! I'm definitely interested but will wait for your full review. Whether I end up spending hundreds of dollars on a Nothing 2 rests entirely on what you have to say about it, Chris. Hopefully you won't sing its praises and I rush out to buy one, only to be bitterly disappointed. But no pressure.

Got mine on Saturday. Thought about a lot of options, including Motorola Razor 40 Ultra, but they all offer similar experiences, so I thought I'd go off piste. There was a chance I'd be disappointed after 4 years of using the Galaxy Note 9. Not a chance. This phone is so different it's guaranteed to keep you engaged, but more than that it is very capable. Some reviewers expressed concerns about the update schedule, but it recieved at least 1 update a day and is now on Android 14 after 3 days. Crisp display, loud speakers, good battery life. The cameras are not groundbreaking, but they are better than the Note 9. Clearly this phone can't compete with modern flagships, but at half the price (or less if you shop around), it certainly isn't half the phone !

It's never mentioned in reviews but the nothing phone (1) will benefit from Nothing OS 2.0. update so for those who have smaller budget it's better to take the first phone which is 300 Euros less.

An enjoyable review. I use the Nothing Phone 1, very happy with it. I would be tempted to play with OS 2.0 but as I run the Niagara launcher not sure I see the point just yet. And I got the push towards Niagara from your review. Cheers

I baught this phone and i got to say i am not disappointed
It works super fast (especially after tweaking the animations speed through developer mode), no lags and overall a really well made phone with relatively low price.

Highly recommended.

I definitely love the monochrome UI. I wish Google would learn a thing or two from Nothing and implement something like that by default.

Your channel is the best man ❤ you always get into the details and to the point love it. Watched a lot of your smart watch videos cause I couldn’t make up my mind before I found the galaxy watch 6 but without your help it would have maybe taken longer to choose one. Now thinking to get this phone but only cause they brought out one handed mode otherwise would get a smaller phone. Thanks 🎉

Missed opportunity that sound named 'Dan' doesn't just go 'Dan! Dan! DAN!' in a Partridge stylee.

Great video. Just what I was looking for. Moving from Oneplus 8 pro. Is there any gesture shortcut for torch? Love being able to draw a V on the screen to open it on mine.

Pretty cool that the composer has a literal drumkit you can use, if I ever have the phone, I will totally make my own drumbeat with it lol
