This modern farmhouse coffee table build used a lot of tools but can be done with pre-dimensioned wood and assembled with pocket holes for an easier DIY coffee table project if you want. The classic styling is a bit more modern than the typical farmhouse build and would go great in almost any home. Get the plans and build one yourself!

Well I am about ready to tackle this project! All I need now is the 15 thousand dollars worth of tools you used in the video to make it!

Brad, thanks for the videos! New woodworker here and I appreciate you showing some of your mistakes. I am reminded that even the pros do it once in a while. After all, "the mark of a craftsman is not how few mistakes he makes, but how well he covers them up." Bought and completed a lot of your shop plans. Thanks!

Love the tip about using tape wrapped around the ends to prevent glue squeeze out!

I saw this video and I actually made the same kind of coffee table but with different wood and different measurements. Worked out great though! I was 13 when I made it now I’m 14! It was a long build especially since we used mortise and tenon joints for the pieces of wood under the table tops and we had to cut and chisel them with a router and some of chisels. Basically we didn’t exactly have the tools for the job but it still came out great!

This is funny seeing someone else struggle with dowels!

After my first time trying dowels with inferior tools, I went out and bought the JessEm Master Kit and haven't looked back! Alignment is really easy.

Gorgeous table! That wood's beautiful, and the design is simple yet elegant. Well done!
One tip I once saw for notching out a shelf to a rounded leg, was to use the drill press and a drill bit size equal to the leg's round-over radius in the corner of the notch, then band-saw up to this hole, leaving a rounded notch that perfectly matches the leg. But that's more for larger round-overs. Here the difference is so small, it's unnoticeable.

I actually like the fact that you are using expensive tools. It shows the extent to what can be done given the proper knowledge and equipment. If I had the money to spare, I would put together a shop like that as well.

It's not simple. It's sophisticated.

Love it. Nothing wrong with simple design, it lets the wood do the talking.

Brad, very nice work my friend. I agree with the chamfered edges, it makes the entire design work together. Love your channel.
