I'm so happy for her and her parents. She's just adorable and when her parents were interviewed, as much as they were very matter of fact, there was a palpable sense of relief for them not to count each day but look forward to a better future.
I also hope this helps people in the Asian community to come forward for transplants, there shouldnt be any barriers when you see positive results.

As a person with a kidney transplant and on 3 different immunosupressants this is amazing news. I had my tranplant in 2021 and take a handful of meds every morning and night.

They really need to invest more and more into stem cell research. I remember tony robins talk about this in an interview some years ago

I need this. I just had a kidney transplant last year, and I'm kind of tired of living my life in fear of being sick and getting infections

That is really breathtaking. She got back more than her life, she got back a good portion of her health. That really can't be quantified.

A lot of people won’t fully appreciate just how amazing this is.

I took an anatomy and physiology class in high school, and one day later in the year they brought in several survivors of people who had to have various organs transplanted. They told their stories, and of how many things they had to take just to continue living. It’s a horrifying realization, that just because you have a new organ, you survived, the battle isn’t over and never will be.
If this can be a more widespread thing, and people who have organ transplants can live easier lives than they do now, that really is game changing.

This is truly fantastic news! My late dad needed dialysis after his life saving surgery and as fantastic as those machines are, it took a lot out of him.

This is amazing! This is starting to look like "full recovery"/"back to normal" territory for something that would otherwise be a lifelong massive health issue even in the best case.

This is crazy to hear about. As someone who had a liver transplant at around 8 months old and takes an immunosuppressant, I'm so happy to hear that alternatives are beginning to exist so people won't have to live life with the same complications I do.
