Why Can't We Transplant Brains?

What is stopping is from transplanting brain from one body in to the other? Has a brain transfer ever been done?

If you changed your brain, you wouldn't be you anymore. The brain contains your memories and personality.

I feel like having all of your thoughts, memories, and personality stuck inside a new completely different body could cause extreme body dysmorphia, dysphoria, and depression for a lot of people.
Maybe the dysmorphia and dysphoria wouldn’t be quite as bad in people who were paralyzed and had no use of their bodies, but I can still see it causing depression at least temporarily.

Also, it could potentially make immortality in a way possible. And there are a lot of ethical and philosophical questions there for sure.
