Some people may show a High Total but a low circulating Free T. Test your Free T as well. My morning starts at 12pm, always tested this way.

I am 72 and have been getting testosterone injections for going on 2 years. Recently my Urologist didn't like my red blood cell counts because they were slightly elevated. He sent me to a cancer center to rule out any blood cancer. The center ran tests and I went off the injections for 2 months. I had my level tested after 8 weeks and my T level was at 15.4. The doctors decided I needed to be back on the injections. Going for my second one tomorrow. It has helped a little bit but I can tell by the way I feel I am still quite low.

Knowing your level is one thing but it is important to also know the cause if your level is low and that this can be addressed with medication.

I'm 71and was just tested having total T at 520 and free at 39.8. Is that OK for my age?

Okay, but how is the test conducted for people who don't have traditional sleep schedules? I'm an evening home health aide, so my sleep schedule is 8am to 3pm, generally.

I used to have low T. Now i have the energy, morning wood and physical performance of youth. The best protocol for testosterone is Complete Guide to Testosterone by James Francis. So effective the negative side effect is that i am now more aggressive. But no more low T so not complaining.
