With how incredibly useful a Ebike can be I would like to see Biktrix up the load capacity to be more diverse. A bare minimum of 300lbs. With this much power this bike would be useful for much more than just going for a bike ride. It could tow a trailer or haul a small load from the back country.

This bike looks sick! Definitely interested in it as I love the idea of a Sur Ron or Talaria but you can only ride those in limited areas. This looks like the best of both worlds. Is there any hill this thing can't get up on throttle alone? I have an emtb currently but really like the idea of this as a sur ron type ride at almost half the weight for just bombing up hills or doing some jumps on throttle only.

Interesting engineering and development discussion. I hope you are right on the chain strength, that's a major change in the margin, especially if lubrication becomes an issue in real world customer usage, Two reasons I may delay a purchase. When I chatted on youtube a year ago with your Company owner, he said it is possible to design an ebike with a switch to change between torque and cadence sensor, so riders can make their own choice. This new ebike does not appear to have that feature. Second reason, not an engineering issue with the frame or suspension I hope, but I want all my bikes to have (metal) fenders. If you have these two things on this new ebike, I would be quickly getting in line to buy.

To be honest though i am a biktrix owner and the price of these bikes I wished I bought a surron. There are good FS e-bikes out there for $3K CDN. Dont get me wrong I love my Juggernaut FS 2 but it is not work $3-4K more for that boost it gives you! They also weigh soo much. I had to buy a special baike rack just to hold its length and weight.. its 75 lbs+. Even with only a 1000w motor the tire just spins on any loose dirt on a hill or anything slippery which can be huge dangerious. I take it on the trails every so often at the Hydro Cut.. It sjust noisy and can never use the spped unless on a straight away. Im not really sure the point of these super powwered bikes or who they are targetign or if it just PR. Again I love the company respect the people here as they are amazing.. I jsut dont see a use for this bike

It's a little worrisome to see a max weight capacity of 265lbs. In my opinion, it says a lot about how weak the build and design are if it can't support 300 or even 400lbs like the competitors.
