Apparently we have learned nothing from the unrelenting, invasive, overbearing, and usually unrealistic expectations we put on young people in sport. FFs, she is on tour. She said over and over again how detrimental the expectation and pressure from the media was to her psychological well-being over the past 3 years.
Here we are again--pressuring her plan her entire life for the next 3 years so that we will have something to talk about and fill our lives with.

The twisties were NOT her fault. That said, she has recently said that continuing to compete was a mistake after all the Nasser stuff. I would say there’s no way she’s competing in 2024.

She seems to have lost the love for gymnastics she use to have and training herself at this level for so long takes a toll. I think she has accomplished a lot and her next chapter is soon to start.

It honestly hasn't seemed like she's enjoyed gymnastics since her comeback in 2018. I know she said a primary motivation for her return was to keep a spotlight on the Nassar case, but I think she should just retire if her heart isn't in it for the competition. Especially since USAG continues to disrespect her by trivializing her and the rest of the gymnasts. Plus, with her brand value, she'd stand to make so much money by focusing on business adventures full time. But, I also understand that she may have unfinished business after Tokyo

I honestly doubt she'll come back. She'll be 28. If any of the younger gymnasts from Tokyo come back, and with all the names trying to make it there that we haven't heard of yet, I think it's unlikely. The pressure could be too great along with the physical toll that gymnastics takes on your body.

I dont think, but I truly hope she starts to coaching for Paris because she is needed for the upcoming generation more than older coaches. 🤞

As we can see, empathy and positivity are very profitable. Dozen of brands each day more are artificially linking positivity values to their products and services and to themselves, aiming to conquerer a specific public and profit more. A pen will sell, but the positive lifechanger pen that comes written "you're great, girl" will sell ten times more with the correct ads on Twitter and IG.

Successful people don't become victorious overnight. What most people see as a glance wealth, a great career purpose is the results of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone reading this will be successful in life.

I think she is done. However, it’s a shame on the way her age played out, because she was barely ineligible for 2012. She was 25 at Rio, and by that age many gymnasts have done 3 Olympics already (age 16/17, 20/21, 24/25). While I understand she is probably done, part of me is upset that the greatest gymnast of all time only really competed at one Olympics. I wish her all the best nonetheless, and hope she is able to take time to herself to recover from the toll that gymnastics and the spotlight has taken.

Complete respect and understanding why she dropped out for the 2021 games. But why put herself under the same type of mental health pressure in 2024? If she drops out again, she’s only wasting another persons dream spot to compete in the Olympics.
