It's super easy nowadays to record video and upload to YT.
Here's the items I'm using right now. Just using an S10 as my camera.
I bought a microphone stand to mount my phone on while I record.
It takes a couple adapters so you can swivel the direction however you like...but worked out really slick. Here's the components.

We have the Mofi 4500 with this $35 ATT data plan that's been cancelled or grandfathered in. So far, our account is working fine. My question is can ATT see this ipad SIM/plan is in a Mofi (hotspot)? or does the TTL make it read as if it's in a hotspot. I'm assuming the IMEI is an ipad #. We have no other internet options in our Rural area so we really rely on this. Some have said we can get an ATT pre-paid plan if this shuts down. These are phone plans. Will they work in a Mofi? Guess I'm curious if any Mofi users with this data plan have been cut off. We use 200G or less a month.

Not a very big tech guy. Would love to learn just don't know the right questions to type into google or youtube. I've downloaded apps that show my dbm and cell tower locations. I'm about 100 miles away from a major city. I was wondering if all cell towers are 4g now? I get around -120dbm in my house with a my provider cell tower 2 miles away. Would I be able to hook up this up to a wireless router for my house? Thanks for all the info you have shared.

I even went to lte fix hoping to build a second mofi as I want one for wen I go camping and did not find the part you were chatting about.

I did the Mofi and IMEI generator route. Average speed around 25ping, 18mbps down, and 10mbps up on AT&T in east Oklahoma. That may sound bad to most folks, but coming from ViaSat this is a win for my family. Roku x3, fire tablets x3, online degree classes, ArcGIS work from home, and smart home setup. Yes your speeds will be slowed down, and this is our slowed down speed. When new month starts, we get speeds like what you seen in the video. Also, for those that can, I applied for an Amazon Card and got $150 off first purchase so I got my mofi for $170 and I bought a mesh system. No cable - $95, No ViaSat - $110 - $170 x 12 = $2, 040 savings a year.

How do you get the SIM card to work on the mofi mine doesn’t work and the prepaid SIM card is active

I just added a line to my unlimited data plan. No iPad. No messing with imei out anything. Right now 20GB over my limit, and not throttled. They check every three minutes.

Here's why:. You only get throttled if you exceed your limit *and* the tower gets congested. If you are truly in a sparsely populated area, like I am, your tower won't get congested.

*This is att, other carriers may have a different policy on when they throttle.

I bought the rg6 but heard I should look into using lmr 400 for the cable. Please I need help and guidance. Thanks

That Ebay purchasing route is interesting. Although I have to say one of the cheapest 4g LTE unlimited services is Visible wireless. It only costs $25/month. They use Verizon network, although I'm not sure if AT&T has better rural coverage and speeds.

Well it finally happened. ATT just 3 days after my email saying this months prepaid went through sent me second email saying this account has been shut down at your request due to inactivity. so I am wondering if other accounts are having same trouble and has anyone found a good solution for getting back on. tablet plan is gone!!!

Some people are being grandfathered into & continuing while others are having service shut down with no notice. There's no rhyme or reason. Some say stay under 1 TB of usage and you should be fine. Nah, people that stay under are being cut.
Supposedly from what I have read you can call AT&T and speak to a rep, but that is no guarantee & definitely not a guarantee the rep will know what you are talking about. Pretty much people exploited the service & AT&T are finally catching up.
I had service since last June, but with what's happening, I went back to cable internet. Yeah, I'm paying $15 more a month, but at least I know when I wake up in morning I will have internet.

Doesnt work anynore for ATT dataconnect, tried all day with about 20 different IMEI numbers and it would never give me the unlimited option

Wish my mofi did this. Had AT&T it did less than 1 up and down and switched to Verizon and it went up to 20 then a day later it dropped back to under 1. Moved router all around house and it was trash

I forgot to ask, I want download speeds of 50Mpbs + so what service provider should I go with for the best speed and what speed do you normally get?

I have AT&T and with obifi as the carrier. it's so slow. I installed a cell signal booster with outdoor antenna at -92 db. That is a usable signal yet the speed is so poor. When I called the provider I got the answer than Emergency services upgrades to the towers in the local area have reduced speed to under 10 mg. Horrible. I can't get another SIM card to work in the MOFI. frustrating. Great Video It takes my troubleshooting to a new direction.

Great info. I've watched your previous vids. I bought the Netgear Nighthawk before Christmas, but I'm considering returning it and getting the Mofi (I have until tomorrow). But, it seems like the Nighthawk should work fine.
