I worked for at&t and when i explained that their kid was using all the data they asked what they were doing now we couldn't see what they were doing but we could see usage spiked at around 10pm and they had a teenaged son who was using all the data i told them "umm well streaming videos tend to use a decent amount of data.." they understood what i was saying hahaha

I on average use 30 to 40 gigs a month. Unlimited is just the least expensive option for me. Wifi is only around everywhere in bigger cities. Even medium sized cities don't really have tons of wifi hotspots. Not to mention the ridiculous security risk public wifi presents.

I just got unlimited, tracked my usage for a year and then switched to a 10 GB plan cause I only used 6 at most every month

I just go with the cheapest option that is larger than my typical monthly usage (which is easy to track)

As an over the road truck driver I can guarantee you that you will use unlimited data. I averaged about 100 gigs a month give or take.

Considering in the UK, unlimited data plans are so cheap (Costing around the same amount as a 20GB plan) It's a no-brainer.

Do you really think data usage now is the same as it was 3 years ago, I would imagine cellular data usage is kind of like inflation it rarely goes down year over year.

You can see how much you use in a month in your device settings. If that number never changes much from 1 month to the next like mine, that's the plan you buy.

I definitely get my use out of the unlimited plan. I use between 100 to 500 GB a month. I'm way over the average of 12 GB.

When you don’t have an unlimited plan, and go over by 150gb and get charged an extra $5.00 per gigabyte, that $10 extra per month becomes a pretty good deal for the unlimited plan.
