I have to give the History Channel credit for producing a decent science documentary. I'm taking a class that covers the material in this documentary. Given that this documentary was meant to be seen by the general public, it does a great job of presenting the geologic material clearly while not dumping to many scientific language on the viewer.

Very good guide to the planet's history for non scientists. Let us hope that enough people find it of sufficient interest to encourage them to broaden their knowledge and increase their understanding of the ecological and environmental issues that face us.

Nah you shouldn't feel this way you should feel incredibly privileged to have experienced this life at this moment in time, enjoy it for the short time you have on this earth. The time limit that our solar system has and the time limit on our sun and earth means for humankind to survive, we must leave this planet, we must conquer space.

ugh, I am so sick of seeing arguements about whenever or not God created the Earth.  I like this video and I agree on it.   That does not mean that I don't believe in god.  Also whenever I see the rising sun I think of Lion King

sigh... i honestly hate hearing people argue science vs religion. its like arguing to someone that the earth is blue when he is wearing blue glasses, and the other argues that the world is red when he is wearing red glasses. the only way to truly have a valid argument is if both parties take time to learn and fully understand both of the subjects.
