While Blynk is a great app, publishing your own app through them is really expensive. I'd be interested to know how many people have used this feature and signed up to their monthly plan. Small developers won't use this because of the ongoing cost and uncertainty of selling their product. Large companies won't use this because they have the funds to develop their own apps. Great idea, but far to expensive for the home hobbyist or small business.

It's a nice way to test different types of setups, but I'd rather build my own apps with Google App Inventor 2. As a beekeeper I've build an NodeMCU (and later an ESP-01 'cause it's smaller) to monitor the temperature and humidity in my beehive. With my own app which I built Google App Inventor 2 and a portforward in my modem, my app is custom made for me and working very fine. And, Anna, yes I noticed you have an Apple computer and probably an iPhone. I'm a Samsung + Android fan, but I'm sure this app building is also available for iPhone.
