FULL TRANSPARENCY: we are 100% biased regarding these Morgans, but they are wonderful boats. And we fully expect folks to disagree with us and suggest even better boats. We're simply saying, at this price point, there's a lot to like about this boat. With the higher aspect-ratio rig, larger rudder, and other updates relative to her older sister, the 382, this 384 can cruise oceans, put you on the podium racing, or simply take you for a comfortable day sail. With room to sleep 7, plenty of ventilation, and a full inventory of sails and accessories, this sailboat is ready to go. The BEST part, she has a brand new Beta Marine diesel engine with only 50 hrs on it. The list goes on and on. And while we might be a bit biased, since we own a Morgan 382, this newer 1986 model had us second-guessing our life decisions. Her original gel coat is off the charts pristine, and her decks are perfect (of course, you'll want a proper survey). And we can tell you, if you're looking for a versatile, comfortable ride, this boat is for you. As soon as I heard "spanner" I knew it had to be Canadian Ken talking. Ken, Ken, Ken, you looked at the instructions, you now have to surrender your M.A.N. card for at least a year at which time your membership may be reviewed for reinstatement. Looks like a nice ebike, but with my motorcycle, in the bed of my pickup with the boat on top of the pickup being hauled behind a 37 ft motor home I just don't think I've got room for it. All of that aside, that looks like a very nice boat. The wood inside was beautiful and i didn't see too much if any evidence of leaking. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

Having had a 382 the first thing I spotted was the keel blocking. Glad you pointed that out right away - it shows your honesty and integrity. They are great boats, high coamings in cockpit, solid feel underfoot and underway, sail beautifully, comfy below, and able to go anywhere. The owners webite is invaluable. Having owned other boats I think i would prefer the traveler on deck of the 384 over the one in the cockpit. Great job showing this boat and great job with your channel!

This Morgan must be a buikd of what was built in UK as Victoria Yachts ... beautiful to see ... I owned Victoria 34 which I loved and this boat looks SO much the same ... Victoria Yachts stopped building boats .. did Morgan take over their plans ? Does anybody know ?

Great episode ... would have been nice had you compared the asking price on this boat with what you bought yours for as a comparison -- obviously the market changes year to year, but how do the two models compare to one another? Does one have a bigger following than the other? How they both compared to the Morgan 381 (Catalina) which had similar numbers on sailboat data (longer LWL and faster hull speed) but very compatible as a successor. Keep up the great work!!!

One thing you forgot to address that you usually do I believe is the standing headroom. I think this is a very important consideration for those of us who stand over 6ft. My research indicates for these Brewer-designed Morgan 38s the standing headroom is only 6'2".

Nice boat. The new Beta diesel is a huge upgrade. There is a Morgan 38 in Southwest Harbor. I don't know which version it is, but it looks like a powerful sailing boat.

Coincidence, just met a boat neighbor with a beautiful example of a Morgan 383.Very nice boat. This was a fine example. How can you go wrong with a repowered boat ? Would you call your v berth a pullman berth ? Just curious. On your last video with the Orion, it was Captain Q's episode 24 if any of your viewers want to check it out, just gives you a view of the other layout if interested. Thanks guys as always

The vee berths at different levels above the sole was called 'Toe over toe' by Captain Q on Yacht Hunters a few years ago.
I have seen the terminology somewhere else, too.

Guys... When you take that bike anywhere near salt water, you want to make sure att MINIMUM that the battery is in a reliable waterproof case or bag. And stow it in a place where the battery is kept from experiencing and kinds of impact. Salt water and lithium ion batteries is dangerous.i would also get a waterproof gear bag for the bike itself. If you treat it right, an ebike is an excellent travel tool.❤
