I've done the entire thing twice on an XR650L. Also did the Shadow of the Rockies Trail from El Paso to Baggs, Wyoming and the Mississippi Hill Country Trail. I put 37, 000 miles on that bike and gave it to a friend with a mighty knock in the engine. I lost my wallet in Nevada along with $800 and some other stuff when my fanny pack fell off in the middle of nowhere. I rode 430 miles that day before I found it and made it to the motel. That was the last time I ever carried my wallet in a fanny pack. I doubt if I took two dozen photos along the way and not a single video, but man, do I have some great memories!

Thanks for sharing this. Due to old age and health, I can no longer make long rides like this. I was able to make long off-road trips on my 95 BMW R 1100 GS a few years ago. Thanks for helping me see this once again. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I want to do this run on a coming of age ride with my son when he turns 18 before I send him off to manhood been researching it for some months . I work on wild land fires as a water tender and get to see things people can only dream of . And try to explain the sights and beautiful wilderness of our beautiful country so I figured I’ll just show him by doing this leg of the TAT . Thanks for sharing your experience what a great ride ! Cheers

I'm only 5mins into the vid but just wanted to say I love the way you edited it with the music and then occasional comments on comms back and forth. Very enjoyable. Just liked and subscribed.

Great stuff!! And I gotta disagree with anyone who complains about the music. Mostly because whoever picked it has great taste. Love the deadish jam bandish stuff in the beginning, the acoustic in the middle, some bluesy stuff ... Nice work.

This showed up on my feed. Figured I’d give it a look. I’ve not seen many GSs on the TAT. Great job. Very entertaining video. Thanks.

Amusing trip with spectacular views always fun to be out there in the back country. Can't wait for my adventure as it starts next weekend also with a great group of friends, few more days of work and it all begins 12 days of wind therapy.

Beautiful back drops, well edited. Especially to a flatlander. But 102 degrees, i would melt. Cold, rain bring it on. 👏🇳🇱NL Transalp 650.
