Was bitten by a Lyme infected tick 14 years ago, didn't know of L.disease at the time. Didn't get any treatment for over a year, got pretty ill, had to give up work in the end - pretty restricted what I can do disease can be an absolute life changing illness !! Damn ticks 🤬

Dad once thought it would be funny to catch the hedgehog that wandered through the garden, and since wild animals are usually full of parasites, sure enough he caught a tick. That wouldn't be such a problem on its own, if only it didn't turn green. Grandma (from mom's side) was a doctor and urged him to get tested for Lyme, and sent the dead tick for testing as well. Dad was fine, fortunately, and it turns out that the reason the tick turned green and died was due to severe alcohol poisoning.
