I was watching RussianBadger play this on Twitch and remember him saying (I'm paraphrasing based off my shitty memory): "Imagine being Yuri Lowenthal, a Game Awards nominated voice actor who is now arguably one of the most iconic Spider-Man voices of all time, and getting cast as Helldiver #3."

At least Yuri clearly took the role as seriously as he took all his other ones.

I was once being severely overrun by automatons, hiding behind a rock as everything was slowly advancing towards me, reloading would've been too long, i needed big guns, so i called down an autocannon sentry to buy time and maybe kill some things and my dude went "LIBERTY SAVE ME" in the most desperate fashion.

I love a game that reads the mood and your character feels just like you do.

My favorite part about this is the fact that's Yuri Lowenthal, who does Sasuke from Naruto, Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the newest Spider-Man games, and Dainslief from Genshin Impact, and it's absolutely hilarious imagining any one of those characters saying these lines

Really captures the glorious joy of getting to ride the lightning on a belt-fed automatic.

The maniacal laugh when you hold the trigger really captures the player's real-time feeling, shared by all but sometimes not shown. Reminds me of people's reaction to BF3 in-game voiceovers when it first came out. Ah, good times.

I like where if your character is injured, they sound shaken up when calling for stratagems like reality is setting in that "Shit is getting out of hand really quick"
