Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known by his nickname #Pelé, was a Brazilian professional footballer. #Pele is often recognized as one of the #greatest #football #players of all time. He was born on October 23, 1940, in Três Corações, #Brazil.

Throughout his illustrious career, Pele played for two primary professional clubs. He began his journey in 1956 with #Santos Futebol Clube, a Brazilian club, and stayed there until 1974. During this time, he won several major titles, including multiple Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores championships.

Following his time at Santos, Pele moved to the United States where he played for the New York #Cosmos from 1975 to 1977. His stint with the Cosmos was instrumental in promoting football in the U.S.

Notably, Pele scored over 1,000 official goals during his career and is the only player to have won three FIFA World Cups, these being in 1958, 1962, and 1970.
