This works because it works the same as a cutscene, and closing it tells the game you're no longer in a cutscene so you can move

and if iirc (as a not speedrunner) you can also use the punch card to "Wrong Warp" or basically spawn you in the default position of a room.

I learned the hard way that skipping mettatons musical makes you unable to access items

You can also wrong warp while not as big as time save it’s required for one cycle Undyne and a skip called snowy core in wich you chain wrong warps to send you to the beginning of the room when going backwards though core after finish the puzzle this end up being faster then walking over the bridge

I kinda just gave it myself at the start of a normal and i repeat NORMAL NAME RUN not hardmode
I was able to, in napstablook, get a rock candy by duplicating his text, on spider cider, get faded ribbon, and dupe it, walk out of the bedroom MAP when you sleep w punchcard, duplicate the pie just by grabbing it off the floor twice, inf pie in The Joke Book, Sans tried getting to me and i almost ended up hiding behind his stand, advancing the reel in text with punchcard transforms it into Snowman, if you dont reel snowman, Advanced Snowman becomes puzzle decision wether cross and jumble are harder, Nice cream becomes, Nice cream from waterfall (from 15g to 25g) and i havent even deepfried sanssnow yet

I love how beautifully chaotic it looks and it almost looks like Toby Fox new this was going to happen and made the text boxes stay where they're supposed to be just to put more meta humor into the game
