Bro, you were way more rough with the 10 dollar one than the 50, I stopped after that.

As an owner of three or so Tac Force knives ... They sure are cool *LOOKING*, but they don't hold a very good edge and eventually the liner lock fails and won't hold the blade reliably. I recall they used to claim "440 stainless". Without a letter after the "440", I have to guess it's 440A.

I have expensive knives and cheap knives. Sometimes the tool's usefulness is determined by the user.

Love my Kershaws, but I have had to put blue loctite on the adjustment screw of every one. And heads up, the Kershaws break their springs every now and then. Kershaw will send you a new one no questions asked.

The 58-61 HRC isn't the type of steel on the Benchmade... That's how hard the steel is on the Rockwell scale. The blade steel on that version of the Mini Griptilian is 154 CM which is pretty dang good for the price.

I've had my Mtech $20 knife for 7ish years. I'm a welder, and it's a great knife. Have to tighten the blade every week, but other than it, it's great.

Originally bought it so I don't have to worry, but now that I've had it so long, and it's been through my entire career, I'd be devastated if it broke. So it's now retired.

Tac force, mtech, and on are knives for people who want to get a knife every 3-5 months or so

I have a tac force folder and it's great. There's nothing wrong with the liner lock in it. He whacked the tac force 3 times harder and just gently tapped the other 2, lol. Some of us would never pay $100.00 for a pocket knife.

Question for the true knife aficionado's out there: I have a $25 Kershaw and I love it. I don't have it in front of me right now, but I think it's like T1551 or something like that. What really is the difference between a knife like this and, say, a $180 Syperco knife? I've never held a Spyderco so maybe that's all you have to do to know. But for just an EDC pocket knife I don't know why I would want more than what I have. I ask this with all respect. I accept that maybe it's like wine: the everyday grocery store wine drinker may not really appreciate a $100 bottle of wine that you have to special order from some vineyard.

Personally I am a big fan of the liner locks and I love Kershaw.  It was all I carried when I was an officer. Started with the 1550ST and then went to the bigger beefier Zero Tolerance (a Military division of Kershaw) 0200ST. I still carry the ZT every day.  I've watched you videos from gun shops, if your going to do knife videos you should do a video from Blade HQ down in Lehi. Their selection is massive.

You should do a video on the core15 keymod scout, just bought one and am curious as to what you'd think of it. I bought a tacforce once when I was like 15 because it was so cheap, it showed when the blade got stuck in the locked position, like 20 times on the first day I got it. Keep doing your videos man they helped pass the time and to entertain me during my being stationed in korea.

never been a fan of the griptilion. have a mini myself and it feels cheap. I hate the handles but it does what it's intended to do and benchmade is a good company. I also prefer a knife with a little bit of weight to it. my knives I carry most are my benchmade Stryker, spyderco paramilitary 2 and the spyderco Gayle Bradley 2 ( think you'd like that one, not super light but very stout). one of my faves is my ZT 0550 gen 3 but that's a tank of a knife so I don't carry it often. great video, I like anything knife related.

Wish you would have compared knives designed for equivalent use. The fact that you prefer a smaller/lighter/grippier knife has little to do with brand and everything to do with the style.

And then I'm sitting here with a $750 liner lock knife lol .

Not for nothing brother but I'm a workman and carry a carpenter knife. Olfa is a good brand but for sure not a hacking blade. $50 is a good price for most decent knives by honestly for a 5% improvement over Chinese junk you pay 10 times as much. I use my knives several times a day for work but while camping I do have some sort of Spiderco for my pocket, (decent I guess). What do you suggest for a practical guy who doesn't care a whit about brand or name and is very rough on his gear?

The benchmade griptilian’s lock is called the axis lock
