Today, we're creating a version controlled Unity Project, using git and SourceTree Ace, Enjoy :)

[ Video Outline ]

+ Unity Side
- Click “Edit > Project Settings > Editor”
- Change "Version Control > Mode" to "Visible Meta Files"
- Change "Asset Serialization > Mode" to "Force Text"

+ Git Side
- Setup a Standard Git Repo
- Add Unity Specifics to gitignore File

If anyone if having issues changing the text documents file type to '.gitignore', then use your search browser to look up a tutorial on this phrase: "How to change file type in Windows?"

Thanks for the save, our professor didn't go over how to create a .gitignore file in class but expected us to include one in our project for our homework assignment. It wasn't even anywhere on canvas how to do it lol

Make sure in Windows Explorer you go to View and make sure Files Name Extensions is checked

Do you know why my version control might not be tracking most changes? For example it's not tracking changes to .cs files. I'm on Unity 2019.2.1f
