Great comparison!
I find it sad that AMD is no longer targeting these new apus to the very-budget market like they used to with 2nd and 3rd gen apus. I wish they could realise the 4th gen OEM-only apus and have them actually be available for a good price.

Thanks re-watching with AMD recent price drops to clear AM4 stock. Hopefully more to come on black friday.

So, could you stream and play games like fortnite, cod, maybe, rainbow 6 siege with the ryzen 7 5700G and nvidia geforce rtx 3060? I am coming from an xbox one s. I think I am getting 60 fps on average.

I have a 5700g cpu (great) with a 2 yr old RX Vega card which has been running hot since day one of purchase. I want to upgrade the card to a 3060ti and wonder if the cpu can handle it? I don't play super, high intensity games, I would just like to play Deathloop and Cyberpunk without the video card lagging behind and/or crashing. I also don't mind playing in just 'high' settings. Without the fact that I like to game from time to time, the system, as is, runs like a top for everything else I want to do.

This CPU may not fill the GPU gap but for the price in Feb of 2022 it is a great value for a starter even if you are running an older GPU. Due to the upgrade path. I am how ever you would look at it down grading or upgrading an Ryzen 3900X CPU to an 5700g.. I am running a GTX 1650 in this computer with a 550 mb. I want to put a RTX 3050 GPU in this computer. The price of a 5800X is $50 more than the 5700g. The 5700g test better than the 3700X. Think of that. I loved my 3700X box. I do not know if I got a bad 3900X or not but it does not want to shut down no matter what I change. I think AMD has set it to ghost or it has been hacked from the factory.

Was planning on doing a 5700g and 3060 build when I get the chance to. I’m in discords where I see 3060s go around $500 a coupes times a week & I’d rather pay that vs around the same price for a 1660.

As for the the cpu with the 5700g being a 8 core 16 thread and kinda being a baby 5800x, I’d have to use the igpu for a bit I imagine, but I figured this will be good introduction into streaming and content creation later down the line once I acquired a gpu. Plan on doing a 2n1 steaming and gaming build. If I had all the money in the world, I’d totally go for a 5950x lol

With that though, would you still recommend getting a 5600x or is it ok with what i’m doing, using the 5700g instead? Or is it mainly just down to the game I intend to play and stream/ make content on? Main games would be gta v, which I know isn’t that demanding, COD Warzone, & i’ll throw in Fallout 4 & Apex Legends.

Can someone explain why the FPS on SotTR and Control are so low? Especially for only 1080p

Split on if it worth upgrading to a 5800x/5900x. Currently own a 5700g which is set to 4600 AC @ 1.35v [4400 @1.25v] & Asus Rog strix 3060. Unsure if it worth gaining more frames for higher temps (65w tdp vs 105w tdp) There a bunch of test which uses a 3070 or greater to compare the cpu bottleneck but there isn't a lot of info on temps. or the clock speed is configured differently.

Currently using a Asus 120mm aio with noctua fans (2 intake & 2 exhaust). Idles at 30-32c. Gaming is around 35-45c

Hello, I just bought an rtx 3600 and I have an amd ryzen 7 5600G, will the graphics card work for me? I am very afraid that I have caught that graph and it does not work correctly for me
Thanks

You think I should go with plan 1 or 2?

1. Get a 5700G, then use the onboard vega 8 until Im able to get a 3070
OR
2. Get an i9 10900K then just wait for the 3070 (unless somehow im able to get the 3070 soon)
Its hard cause vega 8 is better than uhd 630 but still… idk the 10900k is just way better than the measly cache on the 5700G AND more cores. I could also go with an 11900k but vega 8 is still pretty similar if not better than the 730

Im mainly a gamer, planning on doing video editing, recording, light streaming, and gaming of course. Mainly gonna be playing VALORANT, Warzone, Apex, and maybe some fortnite here and there.

My build is the same, I have a R7 3700x x370 in sli titans as well for windows older games. But with the RTX and Zotac 12gb 3060 iis a tad better unless I OC my Sli and x370.The B550M Ryzen 7 5700G RTX 3060 is way less power draw.

I’m looking to do a slight upgrade so I can play things like halo master chief collection and other games nothing to crazy but I made the mistake of buying this thinking it was a cpu and also bought a Radeon rx 550. Do you think I should return the gpu and just use the IGPU from the apu or return the 5700g and buy the 5600x or the 5800x and run the rx 550? Currently have a ryzen 5 2600

So would a pc with a RX 6600 XT and a Ryzen 5 3600 show better performance than this pc for higher frames?
